Every setback is an opportunity for growth. Whether you're recovering from an injury or striving to enhance your performance, we're here to support you on your journey to success.

In the wake of injury, the physical scars may heal, but the emotional residue often lingers, shaping our perceptions and experiences. The journey to recovery extends beyond the physical. That's where Brainspotting steps in, offering a pathway to healing that
transcends traditional sports psychology.

Succinct but powerful change for performance and injury recovery.

Imagine this: You're sidelined by injury, grappling not only with the pain of your body but also the echoes of the trauma that initiated it. Perhaps it was a sudden accident that shattered your sense of security, or a chronic condition that eroded your confidence over time. Whatever the origin, the emotional fallout is undeniable—fear, frustration, anger, perhaps even a sense of loss for the life you once knew.

This is where Brainspotting shines brightest. Unlike conventional approaches that merely scratch the surface, Brainspotting delves deep into the subconscious, where trauma resides, influencing our thoughts, behaviors, and perceptions. Through this innovative process, we embark on a journey of exploration and discovery, uncovering the roots of your pain and reshaping the narrative of your recovery.

Picture yourself sitting in my office as I guide you through a series of gentle yet transformative exercises. Together, we'll identify the "Brainspots"—specific points in your field of vision that correspond to the emotional hotspots lurking within your nervous system. With precision and compassion, we'll zero in on these targets, allowing the magic of Brainspotting to work its alchemy.

As the session unfolds, you'll feel the weight of your burdens begin to lift, replaced by a newfound sense of clarity and empowerment. Memories once lost in darkness will emerge into the light, offering you the opportunity to process, integrate, and ultimately, transcend the trauma that once held your performance captive. You'll find yourself moving forward with renewed purpose and vitality, reclaiming not only your physical strength but also your emotional resilience.

If you find yourself grappling with the emotional aftermath of injury, know that you're not alone. With Brainspotting, healing is possible. Take the first step towards reclaiming your story. Take the first step towards the life you deserve.

About Lindsay

  • I hold a Masters Degree in Counselor Education (with emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy) from Portland State University, which was received in 2007.

My undergraduate degree in Education was earned at Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon.

I am a Certified Brainspotting Provider and Consultant and have advanced training in relationships, parts work and mental performance

While I do provide some therapy to some clients in Oregon, I consider myself a “former therapist”, as the majority of my work is coaching.

  • In addition to my formal education (bachelors and masters degrees) and my certification in Brainspotting, I have held a wide variety of volunteer positions in the not-for-profit world. While I value the grounding my formal education gave me, I believe in growth through helping organizations as both a committee member and in leadership positions. I value supporting community and national organizations that raise up others.

Some of these roles include: Secretary for The American Association of State Counseling Boards, Scouting Organizations, Lake Oswego School District and Baby Blues Connection. I served on the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists beginning in 2014, and held Chair and Vice-Chair positions from 2016 through 2020.

  • Initially drawn to therapy for its capacity to foster deep connections and provide space for personal narratives, I have discovered my true calling lies in coaching. Coaching allows me to empower clients ready to achieve their goals, fostering optimism and profound self-connection.

Coaching's future-oriented, goal-driven approach aligns with my style, making it my preferred path. I employ similar tools as in therapy, but coaching's proactive and challenging nature better suits my current direction.

My clientele in coaching presents a diverse array of performance challenges, particularly high-achievers from various backgrounds. My experience as a parent of student athletes and a runner equips me to support athletes' goals and their holistic self-worth, distinct from their achievements.

Rest assured, I prioritize your well-being and will refer you to therapy when your needs require specialized mental health support.

Join me in coaching for a journey that illuminates hope and purpose, unlocking your true potential.
